Monthly Salary

The position of Marriage Counsellor falls under Pay Level S-20, with a salary range of ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 as per the 7th Pay Commission. However, with additional allowances and benefits, the monthly salary can go up to ₹2,08,700.

Vacancies

The recruitment drive by the Bombay High Court aims to fill a total of 31 positions for Marriage Counsellors. Out of these, 25 candidates will be placed on the Select List, ensuring they secure immediate positions, while 6 candidates will be placed on the Wait List, ready to step in as needed. Qualifications

  1. Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Social Work is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must have adequate knowledge of Marathi.
  2. Experience: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in Family Counselling after acquiring their Master’s Degree in Social Work.
  3. Computer Proficiency: Candidates must have a Computer Certificate demonstrating proficiency in word processor operations in Windows and Linux, as well as in M.S. Office, M.S. Word, Wordstar-7, and Open Office Org. This certificate must be obtained from any of the following institutes: Statutory Universities in Maharashtra or Goa, Maharashtra or Goa State Board of Technical Education, NIC, DOEACC, APTECH, NIIT, C-DAC, DATAPRO, SSI, BOSTON, CEDIT, MS-CIT, or a certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra or Goa.
  4. Preference: Preference will be given to candidates who are Law Graduates.

Age Limit

For the General Category, candidates must not be older than 40 years as of the advertisement date, while candidates from backward-class communities must not be older than 45 years as of the same date.

Candidates should not have more than two living children born after March 28, 2006.

Selection Process

Applications will be scrutinized to ensure all eligibility criteria are met, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an oral interview at the High Court of Bombay, with no travel allowance provided. The final selection will be based on the candidates’ merit as determined by their interview performance.
