Born into a Tulu family from Mangalore, Karnataka, Krithi grew up in Mumbai. Her father is a businessman, and her mother works as a fashion designer. During her academic journey, she ventured into the world of commercials.
Career
Krithi Shetty made a brief appearance in the Hindi film Super 30 before taking on her first lead role at the age of 17 in the Telugu film Uppena, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Buchi Babu Sana and Sukumar Writings. The movie achieved significant commercial success, crossing the ₹100 crore mark at the box office. Reviewing her performance, The Times of India’s Neeshitha Nyayapati noted, “The debutants Vaisshnav and Krithi manage to pull off the intricacies of their characters well for the most part.”

In 2021, she starred opposite Nani in the Telugu film Shyam Singha Roy. The following year, she appeared alongside Ram Pothineni in the bilingual film The Warriorr, directed by N. Lingusamy. Shetty featured only in the Telugu portions of the film, which received negative reviews from critics and turned out to be a significant commercial failure. Another release in the same year was the Telugu film Macherla Niyojakavargam, directed by M. S. Rajashekhar Reddy.
As of 2022, Krithi Shetty had also appeared in Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti and co-starring Sudheer Babu. Additionally, she made her Tamil-language debut in 2023 with Venkat Prabhu’s bilingual Custody, alongside Naga Chaitanya.
