How to Search on Instagram Threads?

When Mark Zuckerberg’s meta launched his new microblogging app Threads, it’s fair to say it went pretty well. Within just five days, it had already topped 100 million users, especially thanks to the ability to set up threads via existing Instagram accounts. Most people are eagerly searching about How to Search on Instagram Threads? Here you get detailed information about How to Search on Instagram Threads?

Instagram Threads?

The number of daily users has dropped significantly since that first week, and some users are frustrated that it’s missing key features over other microblogging apps like X and Mastodon.

One of the biggest criticisms was the lack of a way to search posts by specific keywords, but the good news is that this feature is finally available. You can now search for user accounts and posts using keywords.

How to use thread search. Isn’t there a search function for threads? When I launched Threads, as expected, there was a search icon at the bottom of the screen. However, this search feature didn’t work as well as people expected. This is because initially only user accounts could be searched. There is no way to search for specific keywords, and there are no hashtags for threads.

Understandably, many users were frustrated by this lack of functionality. If you want to read a series of posts on a trending topic, you can only hope they show up in your feed.

Fortunately, this feature has been added and has already been rolled out in most English- or Spanish-speaking countries.

Mark Zuckerberg said the feature will be rolled out to more countries. If this feature is available in your country, you must update to the latest version of Threads to use it. I found out that even after updating, I can’t use the function unless I restart my iPhone.

How to Search on Instagram Threads?

Using keyword search in Threads is very easy, and most people will get exactly what they expected from the search feature when they first launch the app. Use the same search page for your profile and posts. The results will show a list of matching profiles and the option to search for posts instead.

Open a thread. Ar the bottom of the screen, Tap search Icon.

At the Top of the screen, enter your search term in the search box. To find your profile, scroll through the resulting profile list. To find your posts, tap Search for [keyword] above your profile results. A page of posts containing your keyword will be displayed. You can scroll the list to see more results. Tap Back or tap the Home icon to return to the main feed. Other new features for threads

Threads feels like it was tossed out just before it was fully finished to capitalize on the chaos that continues to reign on Elon Musk’s Twitter (now called X for no reason).

Many important features were missing, such as the ability to only see posts from accounts you follow or search by keyword. Fortunately, more and more features are being added. Customize your thread feed to only see posts from accounts you follow, use threads on your desktop, see only content you repost, mention other thread users, and post posts. You can now add alternative text to images.

However, some important features are still missing. There’s no equivalent to a hashtag yet, no way to track trending topics, and no ability to send direct messages through the app. Also, you can’t edit your post after it’s been submitted. I’m looking forward to seeing what new features they add to the future
